Timeship Motion Signatures

As described in the book Becoming Timefaring: Time Travel & the Human Future (Cup+Saucer Press, 2025), a single time machine or “timeship” reversing its direction in time would have a distinctive, strange appearance—looking like multiple objects merging and vanishing or appearing out of nowhere. These animations are for reference.

A single timeship reversing its vector in time (“throwing into reverse”)

What looks like two flying saucers colliding and vanishing--really the same saucer reversing its direction in time.

A single time-reversed ship rejoining the local temporal reference frame

Twin saucers appearing from nowhere and flying apart--really the same saucer traveling back from the future and doing a U-turn in time.

A single timeship reversing its temporal vector and then rejoining the external reference frame (“S-shaped” switchback)

A single orb timeship making multiple temporal switchbacks

Several red orbs dividing and splitting--really a single orb changing its temporal direction a few times
